From the first quote to the final walk-through, our process is built around two things: total transparency and never leaving you to figure it out alone. Here’s what working with Brentwood Builders looks like.

Before We Break Ground

The Real Quote

Most builders start you off with allowances and estimates that balloon once construction is underway. We do it differently. Before your project begins, we build a full quote for the entire home using real numbers from real vendors and subcontractors—from the windows and framing down to the port-a-johns.

That means the budget you sign is a budget you can trust, and you know what your home will cost before the first shovel hits the dirt.

How We Charge

One Flat Fee

Our builder's fee is a single fixed amount, agreed on up front. It is not a percentage of your budget, and there are no hidden fees or markups layered on top.

Why does that matter? When a builder charges a percentage, every upgrade and change order grows their fee. Ours never does—whether you choose the $1,000 chandelier or the $10,000 one, our fee stays exactly the same. So when we make a recommendation, you know it's because it benefits your home, not our bottom line.

Interior Design

Design, Included

Every Brentwood Builders home includes full interior design through JJ's Interiors, one of Nashville's premier design firms—at no additional fee. From architectural finishes to the final fixtures, your selections are guided by an award-winning design team that has worked on every home we've built.

Already have a designer you love? Bring them. We work seamlessly with any designer or architect you choose.

Selections

You'll Never Walk a Showroom Alone

Choosing every surface, fixture, and finish in a custom home can feel overwhelming—so we never send you off with a list and a wave. Our selections coordinators are with you at every appointment, and every decision is scheduled on a calendar built around your project.

You get structure, ample time, and a guide who knows the whole picture. That's how selections stay enjoyable, on schedule, and on budget.

During Construction

Transparent Accounting

Every month, you receive an audit report showing every dollar charged to your project—with the actual vendor and subcontractor bills attached. And every discount we negotiate is passed straight to you. We don't keep markups, ever.

Alongside it, you get an up-to-date budget-to-actuals report, so you always know exactly what you've spent and what we expect you to spend. No surprises at closing—just a clear picture, every month, from start to finish.

Your Lot or Ours

We build all over Nashville and Middle Tennessee—Brentwood, Franklin, Belle Meade, Leipers Fork, Arrington, and beyond. Already own land? We'll build on your lot and help you get the most out of it.
